TRAM ELECTRIC INC, RELOCATED INTO A WORLD CLASS STATE OF THE ART, REMANUFACTURING FACILITY "TRAM EAST" AND IS IN FULL OPERATION FOR 2004.
Tram Electric Inc, of Price, Utah a Electric Apparatus Remanufacturing company, specialist in electric motors and associated components, Founded in 1981 by Mr. David L. Zaccaria, the company has stayed focused on quality and service rather than producing standard repair rebuilds. For over two decades Tram has been the leader in the intermountain west, and can better carry on the tradition say's Mr. Zaccaria with construction and renovations completed on the newly purchased world class remanufacturing facility.
The new Tram East facility is located approximately 1 mile South East of Price on Airport Road. Large induction motors remanufactured by Tram at this facility range from 1 HP to 10,000 HP along with large machining and large fabrication capabilities. To ensure overhauls will be performed safe and easy, The New Tram East is equipped with two large 30 ton overhead cranes, two 20 ton overhead cranes, three 10 ton overhead cranes and dozens of 2 ton department jib cranes. This will ensure safe and controlled lifting capabilities on tough applications demanding heavy extraordinary repair processing with quality and dependability. Part of the new plant will be dedicated to a large testing area and high voltage test center with a 16 foot deep cement test base, capable of full voltage testing for baseline vibration analysis and load testing. Departments will be a duplication of Tram West across town, but on a larger scale.
